Caspar Philips, Jacobsz. (Amsterdam, April 16, 1732 – there, March 19, 1789) was a Dutch engraver.

He learned the art of carving from his uncle Jan Caspar Philips. Throughout his life he was engaged in engraving work, mostly in the architectural field, but he was also a mathematician and was admitted, officially registered and admitted, surveyor of Holland, Zeeland and West Friesland and gave drawing lessons. In 1765 his book ‘Detailed Education in the Perspective or Transparency’ was published, illustrated by 60 self-engraved plates. His engravings and maps were always of a high quality and accuracy.

Philips lived on Nieuwendijk near Kolksteeg, Haarlemmerdijk near Dommersstraat and Brouwersgracht near Willemsstraat. He was buried in the Karthuizerkhof.
